AFC DUNSTABLE LADIES BLUES FC

5th October 2014
AFC DUNSTABLE BLUES FC V TODDINGTON ROVERS FC
With an available squad of 13 players, which made a nice change, the Blues welcomed Toddington Rovers to Creasey Park.
The first half started off with the ladies slightly slow off the mark and conceding a goal within the first 15 minutes, however, minutes later the Blues bounced back to equalise. Player of the match Rebecca Lightfoot linked up well on the right hand side with Carly Orme making a fantastic debut for the Blues. With a nice one-two Lightfoot with good composure then crossed the ball into the path of Georgie Liscio who once again using her weaker foot slotted the ball home past the keeper for her second goal of the season.
The Blues unfortunately conceded a further 2 more goals making the half time score 3-1.
The second half proved to be a quiet one however, Laura Mimer looked to be gaining in confidence with every match and put in some good tackles to break up the Toddington attack.
The team also welcomed back previous player Donique Heckert who showed an energetic display in her first match back. The second half saw only one more goal conceded, again by the Blues, leaving a disappointing result but a promising display of teamwork and improvement with the ladies remaining positive and just needing convert more chances.
